Wire Rod Coils upto 2000 Kgs. are loaded on mandrils. It is shot blasted in 7-20 min. depending on wire diameter. Previously pickling took more than 2 hours for the same operation. Shot Blasting increases productivity, operation is simple requires minimum labour and space, For MS, carbon steel, and alloy steel wire rod completely substitute pickling process, and reduces pickling cost for stainless stee wire rod.
